This kid is huge! We've never seen anything like it... he is almost 4 months old, but he weighs 18 pounds! Jackson was born 3 weeks premature and by the end of his first year only weighed 21 pounds. We got the go ahead from the pediatrician to start solids and it was hilarious!!! I really don't think ANY of the rice made it into his belly, just all over him. I think we'll stick to putting some in his bottle for the next month or so.

{Sledding...
These next few posts are long overdue. What can I say, I'm just not on top of my game...
Tanner and Jackson were dying to go sledding the day after Christmas, so we packed up and found a little hill that was just right. Sam slept in the car with Grammies while the rest of us played.

{Christmas morning...
Jackson checking out the reindeer food in the morning... they were hungry!
Rudolph lost a pearl off of his collar when he was eating his food.
We had such a great Christmas... It was relaxing and very enjoyable. Jackson was a total crack up. He is an excitable kid as it is, but when you add Santa to the mix it's beyond uncontrollable!
{Christmas Eve and Reindeer Food...
This year we had Christmas at my parents house in Loveland so we went straight from our overnighter in Denver up to their place. Christmas Eve was so fun. Tanner and J played on the four wheeler in the backyard and mom, Tessa and I enjoyed a 2.5 hour workout while Todd and Sammy hung out and watched football. That night we had a low key dinner and afterwards we had some friends come over and the kids acted out the Nativity. It was so cute! After our company had left for the night, the boys opened up their pj's and Jackson wrote a note to Santa (and Rudolph). Then we went out in the backyard and left some food for the reindeer (which is a mix of oats, marshmallows, pretzels and of course, glitter!). We tried to read a story, but Jackson was so worried that Santa wouldn't come if he wasn't in bed that minute that he missed out.

{Denver...
One of my favorite Christmas traditions is our overnight stay in downtown Denver. We shop, go out to eat, lounge in the hotel's hot tub and we've even done the horse drawn carraige to the Capital building a time or two. There's just something magical about being downtown with all the lights and decorations.

{Tricks with Semi Sam...
This is how my dad 'plays' with babies... he does tricks with them. I remember him doing this with my brother's and sister when I was little. To see more tricks click http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRj2RNFPBCo (I couldn't figure out how to resize the file to have blogger post this video) Jackson got a kick of seeing Sam surf!
