{Weekend in Loveland...

What a fun weekend! We had an adoption seminar in Northern Colorado on Friday, so it seemed to be the prime opportunity to spend the night and stay with the fam. The boys woke up early and headed up to the Father/Sons campout at Lookout Mountain. They shot guns, threw knives and rode bikes. Mom and I went to the church to help the YW make Mother's Day coursages. That afternoon we spent the day together riding the 4-wheeler, Semi took J for a ride on the 'cool bike', and the rest of us rode our bikes around Lake Loveland. The lilacs were blooming and the lake was full. It was a beautiful day and it's always so fun to get together!

{J's last day of preschool...

...DOWN ON THE FARM... May 11 was Jackson's last day of preschool. They had the cutest little program put together for all of the parents. They sang B-I-N-G-O, 5 little ducks, and a couple others that I've never heard of. We had hot dogs and treats afterwards. I really love his little preschool. He is all set and registered for next year. Now we just have to figure out what we're going to do this summer!

{The big soccer game...

What a total crack up! We went to one of Miah and Lauren's soccer games while we were in Utah. It was definately one of the highlights of the trip for me. Miah really gets after it and Lauren is a spectator on the field! I was loving it. It makes me excited for this fall when J will play!
This picture was SO cute. After the game Jackson gave Lauren a big hug and told her she was the best soccer player that he had EVER seen! I just love 'cousin love'!!!

{Miah's party...

Miah and Scott share the same birthday and Craig's is the day after. The last couple of years we've been out in Utah for the first week in May so it's kind of tradition that we celebrate "the birthday's" when we go out. This time Miah had a little cousin get-together at Chuck E. Cheese. The kids had a ball. They played games, ate pizza and played skee ball until their arms about fell off! Good times.

{Elaina's Graduation...

Last weekend we headed over to Elaina's graduation at Utah State. Todd couldn't get off work early, so we drove to Rock Springs and stayed the night. The weather was less then desirable, but we made it to Logan about 20 minutes before the ceremony started. Elaina graduated with a BS in Family, Consumer, and Human Development. The ceremony was very enjoyable. Afterwards, we enjoyed a wonderful 4 hour dinner at the local hot spot, the Fire House.

We are excited to see the good things that Elaina will do! Congratulations!

{27...

Ok, so I turned 27 a couple of weeks ago. I feel like I've been 27 for a long time so it really wasn't a big deal. Todd was sweet and bought me these pretty flowers and we went out to dinner as a family. With Todd turning 32 and me edging closer and closer to 30, we decided this year was as good as any to really start taking our health (and weight) more seriously. We joined 24 Hour Fitness back in early March. The gym is close to our home and we like the facilities quite a bit. Along with our membership, we were assigned 5 personal training sessions. Todd hit the ground running and has lost over 25 pounds! He looks great! It is fun to see him enjoy his body more then he has in the recent past (He just had back surgery last fall after suffering with a bad back for more than 5 years). I think this whole thing really started because we wanted to get some additional life insurance and we knew we needed to lose the pounds to get a good rate. Anyway, I have been working out as long and arguably as hard as Todd and I've only lost 5 pounds. I feel good, but I would like all of my hard work to look good too! I guess my whole point in writing this is that I'm debating whether or not I should kick it up a notch and purchase the bodybugg. It is expensive, but Todd assures me that this is the year we are investing in our bodies so I think I might just do it! It is a pretty incredible little devise and I'm conviced if I don't lose weight with it, then it's just not meant to be!

{Hangin' with Grammies!

J and I met Grammies in Cherry Creek for a fun
filled day about a week and a half ago. We met
because we wanted to meet for a craft show.
Well, the craft show was pretty lame but it
worked out alright because we were in the
middle of Cherry Creek in the spring time. All
of the homes are older and very well maintained.
The trees were blossoming everywhere and the
smell was to die for! We proceeded to get lost
and found ourselves in the middle of downtown
Denver, so we went to lunch at a landmark
restraunt; the Rocky Mountain Diner. We ate
outside, watched the train go by and had a great
time! Jackson was a gem all day long! We went to a few other stores and then parted ways. I am
loving our Denver traditions!
